Monetise Your Music: Selling Digital Sets on Disk Rider Live
The Digital Sets marketplace lets you sell downloadable mixes directly to fans. Here's how to do it well.
Creating a listing. Go to Dashboard → Sets → New Set. Upload your audio file (MP3 320kbps or WAV), add cover art (1:1 ratio, minimum 1400×1400px), write a description, and set your price.
Pricing strategy. New DJs: start at $2–5 to build social proof through early purchases. Established DJs (top 100): $8–15 is the sweet spot. Genre-specific compilations or themed sets can command $20+.
What makes a set sell. Buyers respond to: a clear genre/vibe label in the title, a tracklist (even partial), a short personal note about the set in the description, and professional cover art.
The payout. You keep 80% of each sale. The 20% platform fee covers hosting, payment processing, and discovery placement. Funds appear in your wallet as pending for 48 hours then move to available balance.
Requesting a payout. Go to Wallet → Request Payout. Minimum payout is $20. Supported methods: bank transfer (3–5 business days) and instant transfer to supported accounts.
Bundling. Group three or more sets into a bundle at a discount (e.g. three $5 sets for $12). Bundles appear in a dedicated section and historically convert at 2× the rate of individual listings.
